Comprehensive Eye Exams
At Blink Vision is is our desire to partner with you to seek to provide you with life-long healthy eyes and the best possible vision so that you can enjoy the highest quality of life. A comprehensive exam is much more than simply checking to see if you need glasses or if your vision has changed. In a comprehensive exam all parts of your eyes are evaluated, from your eyelashes all the way to the optic nerve in the back of the eye.
Minor Eye Emergencies
Eye discomfort and injuries can happen in the blink of an eye (pun is intended). At Blink Vision we are pleased to be available to be your first call and visit for a minor eye emergency, and provide the right plan to minimize discomfort, speed healing, and work toward full recovery. Minor eye emergencies can include many of the following issues; the eye becoming scratched or poked, blunt object impact to the eye, eye pain or discomfort, sudden vision changes, and light sensitivity. This list is not all-inclusive, so please feel free to call the office anytime at 319-665-2727. After hours the phone service will forward to Dr. Marlin Veatch or Dr. Ryan Veatch.
Children Eye Exams
We want your children to have the best possible vision, so they can excel in all areas of their lives, and not be hampered by less than ideal vision solutions. Children must have good vision for school, sports, and their social lives, kids want to have a fun unique look as well! At Blink Vision we really enjoy working with children, starting as early as 6 months old. We have found that children do not always know to tell their parents that they are having trouble with their vision. A complete children’s eye examination will assess the interior and exterior eye health, evaluate vision and function, and seek to ensure your child has the best possible vision. We want to help ensure your kids the absolute best optical solutions for school, sports and play!
Free InfantSee Exams
The American Optometric Association and the Vision Care Institute of Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, Inc. have partnered to create InfantSEE, a no cost public health program, to identify the potential for eye and vision problems in infants in their first year of life — one of the most critical stages of development. In support of the InfantSEE, Blink Vision by Veatch we are pleased to provide a one-time eye assessment for infants between 9 and 12 months of age, offering early detection of potential eye and vision problems, at no cost.

Monitor Systemic Health Issues
Having a complete eye exam can can reveal much about the general health of your whole body. Many people are surprised to learn that by looking inside the eye, it is possible to see clues about the overall whole body health. Looking inside the eyes is an important part of the ongoing evaluation and care of many common chronic health issues such as diabetes and hypertension. Other systemic health issues that can be observed in an eye exam include lyme’s disease, leukemia, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis and many other conditions.
